Sightlines – Clear Pathways to Outcomes

Sightlines is the Professional Services division of DVSM, established in 2015 and works in an internal and external facing way, providing support to DVSM services, and providing capacity building supports to corporates, institutes, organisations, services and communities. Sightlines works in a way that involves actively listening to people and communities with lived experience of Domestic and Family Violence and draws on practice-based evidence and evidence-based practice to improve social, service and system responses to violence.

The Sightlines Team includes DVSM’s General Manager, the Sightlines Participation and Engagement Advisor and team of Sightlines Associates who lead and/or advise on projects that relate to practice priorities and community needs.

What is our role?

Every layer of the system has a role to play in preventing, reducing and responding to violence. We are exploring where we can directly and indirectly contribute to this change.

How can we contribute to change?

Sightlines works to listen to and design with individuals and communities and to listen to and build capacity in the services/people who work with them. Our work can contribute as a catalyst for change.

How do we work?

We have started to use a framework across our projects which offers a staged developmental approach.
The stages are cyclical in order to continuously improve, and applied within an action learning approach.
